I'm a software engineer working with .NET and Next.js.

# where_it_started

My introduction to software goes back to high school, to the information technologies program in Şişli. I still remember the moment I learned about foreign keys in a MySQL class — when I grasped the relationship between tables, I thought, "wait a second, this actually makes a lot of sense." After that I studied Computer Programming, then Computer Engineering at Düzce University.

Breaking a problem down into pieces and watching each one fall into place — that's still the most satisfying part of the job for me.

# what_i_do

On the full-stack side, I work with .NET Core and Next.js. In my role at Dijital Arşiv, I migrated a legacy ASPX system to a modern, end-to-end video editing module built with Next.js 14 + .NET Core; I resolved more than 10 critical infrastructure bugs on Kubernetes and improved the system's stability.

I've also worked on projects touching the defense industry: for ASELSAN, I customized a YOLO model to detect specific tank classes with 80% accuracy; through a data automation pipeline I built with Python and OpenCV, I raised face recognition accuracy from 40% to the 70-80% range.

# why_i_write

I learn something, then look back at it — if no one's explained it, or there's a different angle to it, I write about it. Sometimes it's an architectural decision, sometimes just a short note like "try this, it worked." My goal is to be useful, and not lose what I've learned along the way.
